I wrote this poem for Tim over the course of the last few weeks. Different phrases would rattle around my head demanding to be written down. I took some today to gather the words and construct a poem for Tim. It is my Valentine to him.
It was born in the Florida sun
It grew with long walks and Slurpees
It was sealed in a September ceremony
It's my love for you Tim
It has been tested with tears
It has been stretched with sorrows
It has been bruised by life
It's my love for you Tim
It remains hopeful for tomorrow
It stands in promises of truth
It's shown strong in Christ
It's my love for you Tim
It may be hard to see some days
It may be hard to feel
It may be hard to understand it's strength
It's my love for you Tim
It will never give up or leave
It will never prove to be false
It will never stop beating
It's my love for you Tim
